Flutter Experience is probably the latest in a series of pop-up installations in Los Angeles. Unlike the Museum of Ice Cream of the MODS Museum, Flutter attempts to elevate the selfie taking experience to one of high art by having actual artists decorate each room. What drew me to Flutter is that it was created by Rumi Neely's husband and I've been a huge fan of Rumi Neely since I was 14. My overall feelings towards Flutter is that it's interesting and extremely ambitious. What it's attempting to do is reconcile the difference between a selfie station and an actual museum. What it's left with though is being somewhere in-between and I'm not sure if selfie enthusiasts or art connoisseurs will be entirely satisfied. Selfie enthusiasts will be looking for better lighting and might find some of the rooms too odd to get likes, while art connoisseurs will be turned off by the millennials (LIKE ME) who are taking too many photos. If I had a suggestion though, it would be to the art connoisseurs in that I think they should give Flutter a chance, ignore the Instagrammers, and enjoy the experience. I also feel like this is a great way to introduce kids to art because it has so many rooms that encourage play. That being said, I still got some hella cute #ootd photos and there is a decent amount of space to get your photos in.

I spent two weeks over the summer in Germany (Berlin, Fusen, & Schwangau), Austria (Vienna), and Slovakia (Bratislava). Although it was several months ago, I still thought it would be nice to share a photo diary of my time there - all the sights and such.

I highly recommend visiting all of the cities I went to as they were all beautiful cities, filled with stunning buildings, interesting people, and great food (especially the bryndzové halušky in Bratislava!). One of the things I especially enjoyed about this trip besides the abundance of gorgeous palaces was how neat and orderly everything was. Travel by foot and train was exceptionally easy and I felt as if everyone around was more than willing to help you find your way.

One of the hardest parts about working in retail is being surrounded by clothes 24/7, especially when shopping and looking good both land in your top 10 favorite things to do. What also sucks about working retail in January is that traffic is slow and you're surrounded by all these end of season sales, which makes it even harder to resist shopping. While looking at all the awesome sales going on, I couldn't help but feel drawn towards the schoolgirl, Beck, and sad-Parisian girl vibes this season culminating into a look that's romantic, tough, and a bit Alice in Wonderland. Now if only I had a) more money and/or b) better associate discounts.

I partnered up my over-sized sweater with a fuzzy miniskirt with front zippers, sheer ripped tights, and my favorite flats for an easy black and white look. These flats are a few seasons old from The Kooples, but the style is a classic now from them and are just so comfortable. Not pictured are a few fun accessories - a Ted Baker leather bracelet and my favorite Alexander Wang Rockie.
