In my dreams, I think about living somewhere quite literary like a grey London or a dreamy Paris. I would spend my days strolling about, rubbing elbows with intellectuals, and working on my writing. Such dreams led me to New York, only to have me realize that I'm a Californian through and through, completely in love with our sunny winters. However, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the occasional getaway to somewhere a bit more dreary and romanticized. London reminded me a bit of New York in the way that it feels very busy and like everything is under construction yet it was about 1000x more charming and felt quite a bit safer. I especially liked the Kensington area for its quaint architecture and abundance of dogs running around.

Spent a lovely weekend in the seaside town of Santa Barbara. Although I was only there for two days, it was a nice change of scenery. I especially enjoyed walking along East Beach in the morning and visiting the zoo. The fennec foxes were absolutely precious and I got to get super close to them. If you head to Santa Barbara soon, be sure to stay at Pacific Crest Hotel, who made my stay especially wonderful. The owners, Greg and Jennifer, are extremely helpful and Jennifer bakes a fresh breakfast everyday. The banana bread there was amazing!

When it comes to traveling, I rarely spend my time shopping unless it's in Japan because for the most part whatever I want I can find in the US. And if I can find it in the US, why waste my time abroad shopping? Harrod's broke this for me almost immediately as I descended the escalators in search of food. Right in front of me was a display of smaller name, British brands that I don't see at the stores near me. With fairly affordable prince points, I knew I had to pick up a few pieces. This metallic Kurt Geiger purse caught my eye with its glittery accents and chunky, pink plastic handle. Meanwhile the tiny Yuzefi stood out to me with its boxy silhouette and simple adornments like the matte chain strap. Lastly, the Burberry sunglasses were a spontaneous purchase that I couldn't pass up with its icy color scheme that'll ease into summer easily.

I went through this phase where I was really obsessed with everything Burberry. My obsession peaked around the George Craig-era of Burberry, or like the 2009/2010 time period. It was a pretty crazy time in which I decorated my binders and locker (Yeah, this happened during high school) with Burberry campaigns. I would save up my money just so that I could buy up Burberry items and always asked for Burberry items for my birthday/Christmas. I bought enough to even get myself invited to private Burberry parties (as a 16-year-old!).
My obsession has definitely calmed down in the last four years but I still like to break out the trench coat every chance I get - partly because it looks cool, partly because it makes me feel like a secret agent. Anyways, most of the time I just pair the trench coat with a head to toe black outfit because it just looks sleeker and makes me feel even more like a secret agent and that's what it's really all about, right?
